I just want to introduce myself to all here.
I have been prowling the site for some time now and finally decided to say join up and say hello
I am from the Burlington area and my main interests are fishing with a fly but I also enjoy the odd time out using a bait caster outfit .

Thanks for the welcome guys, with yesterday's weather finally looking a little brighter I have to say I am itching to get out to some favourite spots.
I have been out checking the water levels and flows over the past couple of weeks on some favourite spots I like to fish and even though it is not the greatest I think I will be chucking some big flies out trying my luck. It is at least an excuse to use a newish rod I got a couple of years ago and have never bothered to use .with the strong flows and deep pockets using a 11' -0" 7 wt might be just the thing that is needed.

If you where to ask my wife she would probably tell you I have way too many rods as it is ( she is probably right ) especially as I have been feeling the fishing bug lately and have actually picked up a couple of new outfits over the last few weeks. Getting another would really be pushing my luck right now LOL

Brown trout are what I fish for the most ,my all time favourite would have to be Taimen .

Actually it is quite the story that involves a lot of Tsingtao Beer and horses milk wine and a group of Mongolians that like to party all night.

I try for Large mouth the key word being try here I actually like fishing plastic baits with a medium light rod . In the past I have used a float tube to get around and this can be a fun way to fish except it can be real slow getting to spots and then it is easy to loose your bearings for casting to specific spots as the wind can move you around pretty easy.
For this upcoming season I plan on fishing a lake north of Guelph for bass and pike but I will be using a fishing yak for this
