Hi all.

Was just wondering if anyone had any luck catching perch from shore.

I was thinking about going out tomorrow morning.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums :)  Had some decent perch action last week from shore, unexpected to be honest with ya.  The key trick was to move around and locate them.  Best of luck,

I had good luck with perch last weekend from shore on Simcoe.

Pulled in about 20 fish which consisted of only 1 pumpkinseed and the rest were perch.

Most of them weren't huge, but a decent size and I got 2 nice big ones.

if you know the water have perch, cast them nightcrawlers...it's only a matter of time. was having a great time with perch and find myself fighting OOS bass. it was a great outing until i caught a 2nd OOS bass and have to call it a day.

Agreed, they love the worms.

I foolishly didn't bring any with me as originally I was hoping to go for some pike. I had some small bubble gum pink trout worms in my bag and I was tearing off pieces to tip my hook with. I landed a few small perch.

Another pair that was up there was on there way out and they asked if I wanted to use the rest of their worms. As soon as I started fishing with the worms it was almost non-stop action.

If you're out there, thank you for the worms!

I fished the narrows up in Orillia during the Perch festival and had a blast.  Can't wait for the Barrie perch festival in September.  Any Takers?
