Well done. Durham region has some good size carp. You should change your name now. You're not a fishingnoob. you will want more.

Thanks. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, I had to email my dad's friend for the location, like I said. We were fishing at Lynde Shores Conservation Area, please remember to stay to the designated fishing spots and clean up any garbage you see.

Didn't see this thread until now but honestly.. what I story! I usually skim over fishing reports but this one was awesome. Great story and congrats. 

 

I'm gonna look into carp fishing now too... not even exaggerating lol you got me interested :P

Great looking carp noob! I hear their fight is tremendous! Can't wait to try for my first this year :D

The fight is awesome, by far the strongest fish per pound in Ontario waters. I know your a fly guy, here's a link to a youtube channel with some carp flies: http://www.youtube.c...e?feature=watch

Wow that is a great catch for your first pig! Does not take too much to catch carp and you can find them all over. By far the best fight for me next to a smallmouth bass.

Thanks! It was a great fight! I have to agree with you about their fight in comparision to a smallie, quite possibly my two favourite fish to catch!
