Hi everyone, I am a fairly new at fishing really just started taking it up last year. So far this spring has been an unusual success... I caught the trout in a GTA trib and the bass and carp in grand bend. The bass actually had a lamprey scar on in which really surprised me I should have taken a pic of the other side.

Ya accidental catch while fishing with a spinner for trout that were surfacing all over the area and had to bring him to the beach to land it but I got him back in within seconds.I didnt think lampreys went for bass because of their scales but it had a perfectly circular wound on the other side which I presume was from a lamprey.

Welcome to the boards, great looking catches!
Lamprey are roothless and will clamp onto anything they can get. Bass at the right age I think have softer scales.
This board is full of knowledge, dont be afraid to ask questions!
oh and for the record. Trout are the only fish that matter LOL!
