I saw a guy catch a tern once. Looked really funny watching him reel it in, all the while looking up instead of down into the water.

The craziest "miscatch" for me would probably be the 200-300lb blue marlin my dad and I got while fishing at Punta Cana. Also a snapping turtle at Earl Rowe.

Craziest - Some kinda of endangered Hawk/falcon in Florida.
Scariest- Stingray while fishing on the skyway bridge in TAMPA (not Burlington LOL)
Oddest looking - Salt water dogfish

Seagull...fights like a bass...on air. I was surprised a 15lb mono held up and i get to keep my minnow rap.

Seagulls get a bad rap. If it was a good one I'm surprised it was interested!

meh they're only pests cause we made them that way by feeding them at parks
i've caught snapping turtles in red bay, with jaws strong enough to snap through a 2 inch branch

Yes, we are the pests. Like Pogo said "we've seen the enemy and he is us"

.... a World War 1 era motorcycle on salmon gear and a European Spiny Water Flea on a white twister on a tiny lake in Parry Sound District (ok ok so the flea didn't "hit" the jig but he/she hitched a ride on it back to the boat.... I was surprised by the size of that invasive
