Hi guys here are some pics from a recent paddle4walleye...

Those pics are great. The lake looks so peaceful and the fish looks great in the net and on the plate!

I think that the premier Walleye fishing destination up here would be Wabakimi Park near Armstrong, Ontario...

In terms of numbers of visitors per year about 1 million visit Algonquin Park per year, 100 Thousand visit Quetico Park per year and 10 Thousand visit Wabakimi Park per year..

Out of that 10 Thousand visitors to Wabakimi about 1/10 th of those visitors canoe so according to the statistics only about 1000 people canoe Wabakimi Park per year..

Actually I was trolling using a strip on spinner/ Little Joe Spinner/worm/minnow.. I buy the parts & make Little Joe Spinners/ Strip On Spinners myself using a wire bender it's pretty cheap when you buy the parts and make your own spinners..
Once I find fish I can drift or anchor in one spot like a river inlet/outlet or pocket/hole and use a slip bobber w/minnow/worm...
A fellow my family knows just past away he in his canoe with his dog & was not wearing his lifejacket apparently he has done this in the past and he trusted his dog...
He was a very carefull fellow of 78 years of age so this came as a big surprise as he usually commented on how careless the youth of today are...
I'd say always wear a life jacket when in a canoe no matter if you are alone or with someone else it's not worth your life!

Never been to the park before, looks like a nice spot. I felt like I was pretty north when I stay around Foleyet but that parks a decent distant further  Over 15 hours for me lol

Thanks! this information was incredibly helpful, I'm gonna try the same tactics for walleye at my lake this year, I have never caught a walleye, and would love to,

 

I've been canoeing since I was a little kid but the guy you mentioned probably was in the same boat as me, makes you think.. I'm pretty good when it comes to wearing a life jacket though, except when its hot out. Appreciate the warning though, and you be safe out there too!

Thanks... apz245, Dozzer, river55 & FishingNoob... Those are Fiddleheads like I saw in an earlier post from Dozzer... I've been meaning to try them for some time and they were fantastic with fish & chips...
