Headed out to the Grand today with Rusty and another friend.

The water was a little hi and fast. Things started off slowly until we moved to one stretch of river, Rusty and I were killing them. We got about 8 Channel Kitties from a lb to about 4 and 3 or 4 Bass up to a lb and a half.

Then we moved down to a shadier spot and got another 5 or 6 fish in the same size range. My buddy Scott split from us but he was nailing them too.

I'll let Rusty post pics when he gets home and sees this as I still haven't taken tthe time to figure photobucket out yet.

We had a good day, 3 of us got probably at least 20 nice fish between us. Lots of fun and those little lb and a half Kitties to put up a fight.

Alfie.

There are many good spots down-stream of Caledonia, You just follow Caithness St east of town and you will see many signs that say Rotary River Trail by the road. These are all access points

I find if you find an area with a few islands (google maps), you should do well. We were in one channel today that was producing well, but stopped when the sun got high. We moved to another spot that I thought might be a bit more shaded and continued to get our fish on  . Always do well towards Cayuga and York for some Bass and Kitties like the ones pictured. Not today but we do get Pike and 'eyes around there sometimes too.
