Hi All,

I am from Nova Scotia and visiting inlaws 1.5km from the Petro Canada Park.  I did some research and see that Bronte Creek offers a lot of opportunities.

I am mainly a fly fishermen and target all trout and Atlantic Salmon.  I practise 100% CR and am looking fwd to this new opportunity.

If you have any info to share such as flies, general pools, etc I would greatly appreciate it.  Feel free to email me if you do not wish to make your info public.

Thanks

I am visiting from Sept 17-21. Would there be any species at all I could target on fly in the West Trib?

The fish in my profile pic was caught in Nova Scotia on the fly.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Matt if there's a rain go for it or at least bring your gear and check it out. You could find gold or you could find nothing

Thanks guys! Went to an east trib yesterday and found a pool with about 30 fish in it. Hooked 2 but didn't land any. Based on the colors and sizes there were 3 species in this pool. Now I just have to find the time to get back there Saturday :)

Going to take a walk from petro downstream later this week since it is only 1km away. More of an exploring trip since the water is so low. Really loving the fishing options here

Good luck!

Thatas amazing to hear about the pool you found!

I have come across pools where you can clearly see male and female chinny by color and shear size.

But alot of the time you see little flickers or more often you will see a darker tail, those are usually the trout in the river. From my expirence I am no Jaque Custo but I have hooked one or 2 of the "flickers" seems as if they are in the rivers eating the Salmon Roe.

Looks like I will be visting the inlaws again this fall and will be there from oct 15-25... Will the salmon still be in the West Tribs mid October? I will be fly fishing and 100% catch and live release so hope to find a few hours to target the Salmon and Trout
