im a big fan of vertical jigging in saltwater..

done it for striped bass, amberjacks, tuna, barracudas, cod, etc etc etc.

ive used all sorts of jigs ranging from 1.5oz to about 24oz for deep or heavy current.

even tried using a homemade jig from a stainless steel butter knife.  haha  (they do work)

anybody here also enjoy this method of fishing?

does anyone here practice this on lake ontario?
have your own boat or know where i can hop on a boat to employ this method to fish?

Lake O requires trolling cause it's not very likely to be a salmon or trout underneath you. Generally no one around here does vertical jigging, only horizontal jigging
