thx man, gonna scout out a few spots next week, hopefully. i'll let you guys know (not gonna post any locations though)

Today was a bust way to much wave action swells were like 3" plus boat was rocking like a disco. Lol
Well no salmon action today we did get 3 bows though. Maked fish in the 40-60 ' range so I'd say by next week they should all be staging. That is provided we get a good rainfall.
Good luck all.

That sent shivers down my spine with the thought of salmon staging. Apparently this year might have one of the biggest salmon in the runs in a long time.

should start staging mid august, thats when ill be hitting the piers around some typical spots out east and west

I would like to say that in my urban teen years I had a potato gun, very similar to this. I was told by our fantastic law enforcement that they usually send swat because these are serious "weapons". I was not the one that referred to it as a weapon either. I shot mine at a brick wall, had a neighbor phone them on me. I was warned and aloud to keep my device. The guy even asked to see it and how it worked. Then he just left.

yeah I was gunna say its almost the exact same as a potato gun. We tried to make ours with the hairspray design and not the compressed air one.

We couldent get it to fire and decided to try acetylene instead and exploded the entire thing. That was the end of that.

from the piers? haven't had a chance to drive down to any of the mouths lately , thanks
My earliest salmon from a pier was July 13th, many years ago.

I haven't been out yet this year, but when I lived in Port Credit back in my University days, I can tell you that every year by this time there were salmon at the mouth at night.

Open can you refresh what we should he looking for on those?
I would look for anything under 60 degrees F surface temp... The lower the better as a rule of thumb.
