What are some of the setups you guys are using while out on the grand? Live bait, plastic or spinners?

Great question and a great way to really get in touch with nature. Fishing in the river is a totally different experience and it really gives you the ability to build your skills. I would check out pools and slack water. You want to be in stealth mode as much as possible. The less disturbance in the water you create the better of a chance you'll have without spooking the fish. Hope this helps.

I haven't used plastic in several years. Waste in my opinion. Have never had success with plastic at all. I mostly use lures that dive only 2-4' that's it or floating lures. Spoons, spinners, Like Mepps or Blue Fox. I also do top water poppers. I use worms when scouting new areas just fish off bottom see if there is anything there if not move on to another area once I target onto fish ill swap to lures and make a note of it on my GPS to come back in the future.
