I recently purchased this reel from natural sports in Waterloo. I had a chance to really use it this past week, the first day it started off a little difficult... I accidentally over spooled it 😣dooh! Well after fixing that it was back to business! 5 hours into the day I noticed a squealing noise on long casts, I pulled the spool out dryed it off and relived everything that seemed to fix the problem. The first day I didn't get many bites mostly on dropshot. The next day I spooled on some braid and headed out to fish weedbeds with a softplastic swimbait that hit the trick the reel shone to its full potential horseing them out of the weeds like they were sunfish. I'll keep you informed as I use it more but so far so good.

Tip, try not to use a baitcaster for drop shot, it helps to cast and easier to use off of a spinning reel/rod combo. Best combo I have so far is the shimano sahara 2500 series on my shimano crucial rod. Amazing feel on the rod. PS your using a high ratio reel. I hope your using it for more of the pitching/flipping technique due to the fact that a high ratio is meant to pick up that slack line a lot faster.

No lol I meant I didn't end up using it much because I was dropshoting. I also use it for spinnerbaits and top waters. I have a dedicated cranking reel I use too so I just use it for high speed techniques like swimbaits and top waters
