really? no one reads anymore? its right at the top of the salmon/steelhead forum
- Naming Rivers: The naming of any specific river or tributary is not permitted in the publicly viewable general discussion forum. Instead, please refer to the river by the general area it is located, ie “East Trib”, “West Trib”, “GB (Georgian Bay) Trib”, etc. For example, you are not allowed to say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on Wilmot Creek", instead, we encourage members to say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on an East Trib". The former statement should be relegated to the reports sections (coming soon), away from public view.

Agree!!!
the guy didn't mention anything relevant; some people in this forum are getting paranoid about naming whatever, rules are fine but come on, just be logical!....next thing you'll know is you are allowed to mention only something like " I caught this fish in Canada"...sigh...

ok without getting technical he said " porthope" which is the port, which is the mouth of the river, which means its within a 5k radius of the mouth

Guys if you look closely at the picture it looks like he's in a boat, he probably launched out of Port Hope. He never named a "confined body of water" that he was fishing, but rather a shoreline. It's not a small body of water, let him be.
