Hi, I just joined this forum and  was wondering if anyone would know of some places to catch brook trout. I haven't gone fishing for trout since I was five years old with my uncle, so I'm pretty rusty on trout fishing. I have a boat and I don't mind driving so if you know of some other areas, any info would be great. I also don't mind river or creek fishing. I'm not asking for anyone's secret spots but just a few ideas because I haven't a clue where to try. any help would be great.

go north about 10 hours

No just keep on going!lol JK.

Try to find some coldwater streams that don't see many lures or people. You should hook into some little guys.

I don't know of any places to fish but I remember using a lot of worms. The night before I head out trout fishing I would flood the yard with water and wait till the moon is out to pick worms. For rigging I would just carry a bunch of different split shot weights and small worm hooks. I find the more nature the presentation the better of a chance for a hook up. Sometimes in current i'll use a Mister Twister single 2-3" grub tipped with a worm. Hope this helps

Just go on a tour of the back roads and when you cross a creak stop and give it a shot !! You will eventually find some.. Of you have a smart phone download topographic map Canada it shows all the creaks every where!! Very helpful app when scouting new water

Nick you should visit an MNR office and ask them for a list of stocked lakes around you/to the north & waypoints.
There are lots of stocked lakes in Ontario but it goes with out saying that the better ones will take a bit more work to get into!

In addition to what has already been mentioned, I would talk to Dozer. I recall that he and a few others did an EPIC trip way up north and got into some monster brookies.

Nick you probably should have put this some place else like in General Fishing... Having a perfect friend like the Macho Man (Randy Savage)'s Mr Perfect (Curt Hennig) or in this case Dozer would certainly help in laying the smack down on the specks as Open Fire has said.

Good luck on the Brook Trout Trail!

You're not too far from the north side of Algonquin park, which has argueably some of the best brookie fishing in the world. With that being said, you do have to put in a bit of work to get in there but it comes with its rewards!!

Also there are very few lakes in the park that allow you the use of a motorized vessel, so you would have to hop in a canoe.

Definately worth it. Try trolling around using a 3 way set up tipped with worms or leeches!! (minnows are not permitted in Algonquin)

Here's what awaits the determined angler:
