Hi everyone, because I am new, just wanted to post an icebreaker thread to get to know the members.

What is your favorite species?  I know some of us have more than one!

I vote for inland trout, bass, slab crappie (the right of spring), pike and great lakes trout.

Small mouth bass.

The fights are crazy, and the jumps are awesome.

Carp for the heavy lunker fights.

Hard to choose just one...

In no particular order : brook trout, brown trout or rainbow trout from creeks/rivers - residents or migratory doesn't matter.

i love catching new species. Size doesn't matter much to me if its something new i like it. I was happy catching a goby the first time just cause it was new to me.. but now 500 goby's later they're not as much fun.  As for my fav species small mouth bass with always be my fav. Jitterbugging for smallies at night in temagami with my dad and brothers is a good as fishing gets. Moon light reflecting off the quite calm lake, dead silence other than the clug clug clug of your jitterbug... the anticipation of waiting for a hit. THEN whammo!!!! nice old fatty sm bass. ITs simply the best!!
