The catch and release mantra can only do so much. The root of the problem is in the regulations itself because when the MNR allows people to keep a limit of 5 trout, people will do it. Some places need lowered limits.

Yea that is what I mean by specifics and boundaries they have, but if they have strong evidence or reason to get into a house and they can defend themselves in court then they will do it. As for MNR they can go in if they know someone was poaching and has reason to believe based on blood on a pick up truck with deer hair lets say, AT the house they can go in to look.

What is this nazi germany lol? Don't know about you guys, but I'm protected under the charter from unreasonable search and seizure, if probable cause or obstruction have not been established, kindly tell the authorities to come back with the proper warrant before entering the said residence.
As well when your out in public if probable cause or obstruction have not been established, simply ask the officer I'm I being detained, his response will be no because there's no ground to do so, at that point you ask the officer I'm I free to go... see ya no names or nothing

Look, your not seriously thinking that if the police need a warrant to search your residence in a drug trafficking or murder investigation and a CO does not because they think you have one over your possession limit in your freezer you need to give your head a shake. This is the last I have to say about this.
that maes sense lol im just saying what i was told, dont wanna argue with anyone.........( cough cough mr drifter or just drifting whatever your name is )

you have to try that and make decision ..... deep fried Bass ... mixed vegetables, carrots, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, orange bell pepper, white onion, ginger, stir fry vegetables on sweet n sour sauce ... plus hot pepper If you like It spicy ... or you'd rather not ... just C & R ... leave the fish alone ...

I do my part ... I always clean the spots I fished ... that other fishermen abuse ... littering everywhere ... from lure packages, empty H20 bottles, worm styrofoams, anything near me, It's clean like I didn't fished there .... I always have plastic bag with me empty and when I leave ... It's always full of garbage ...but .... when I feels like having a sweet n sour ... I will have a sweet n sour .... Yum ... Yum ... Yum ... or let go the fish and catch em again next week !

I agree with pollutants, It's everywhere, from lead, copper, acids, oils, gas ..... anything you can think of. It's best to know where you're fishing at. Do some research, know where the water is coming from. How much houses around that area, are there industrial companies around, nuclear plants, farm piggeries, are sewers link to that Lakes or rivers, histories of that lake .... lots of contaminants ... you can take samples of the water If you like ... samples of soil, test the Ph level... lead ... and other metal contents to be more technical, etc.... before you decide to eat the fish ... or just Fish and chill out, C&R ! If you do all of the above ... you'll become a better fisherman tomorrow.

There is nothing wrong with keeping and enjoying a nice catch; the problem is greed. I myself practice strict catch and release (my camera and GoPro preserve the experience and fun more than consumption and mounting) and believe catch limits are very high overall.
