So been busy with work and brother started a bathroom reno, so not much bassin for me lately.Got out early evening for a few hours managed to fight and land a couple of bass, missed a couple as well ,took some pics of the larger one, also took a few pics of the sun setting and moon rising.Great weather, water was a bit colored though as wind was blowing last few days from north.Felt awesome to fight and land a couple of smb, first for a while anyway here are some pics :) DSCF0386_zps8174b8fb.jpgDSCF0390_zps7c8e2aa2.jpgDSCF0397_zps37ce39f4.jpgDSCF0394_zpsaeb67c72.jpg

Nice bass! I was on the speed today and caught a few 1.5lb bass on a tube just like that with a flasher jig head. They are getting more and more aggressive cause the winter is a coming.

Tubes all day. Right now on Rice Lake, tubes have been helping me. This weather changed the way these fish are moving, PS that color(smoke) is amazing!

fight was amazing and he took awhile to get in, he was really digging down and pulled a bit of drag (I don't like horsing a fish in). He did jump once or twice when I got him closer to the boat. He weighed in at just under 4lbs. And was obviously released.
Thanks for the comments guys!

Nice catch!!!! I thought that the x-rap wouldnt dive deep enough to attract smallmouth but i am obviously wrong, do you still remember how many feet of water you were fishing in? I tried my xraps on the smallmouth factory north of us a couple of weeks back but no luck :(

I was in about 20ft, but water was very clear so they could see it from far and were coming up to smash it. It also helps to keep your rod tip down to get that extra little bit of depth. It's what was working so I stuck with it!
