With this great weather I decided to try skating a fly for early lake run Browns and Steelhead wiith my spey rod. Its still a bit early but I figured what the heck. I have never caught a Steelhead this way but its bound to happen evetually. Didn't catch anything but had a lot of fun.

That is a fun way to hook up.  I have caught coho's on wog flies and that is a blast.  The rainbows here in certain areas eat mice and shrews.....That is on my list to do.  Catch a bow skating mice patterns.
