Picked up a Pflueger President spinning reel and Trion rod at garage sale for $15 each this past weekend, both were in excellent condition.

Just picked up my replacement Abu Garcia Villain bait casting rod from Sail. Sent in a spinning and got a casting. Took a month.

Hey cBircham, how do you find the Villain? I was at a guys place yesterday that had 2 of them that snapped on him. He says Abu keeps replacing them which is great but he's getting fed up with them breaking. Both were in the same spot about 3/4 the way up the rod. They were both casting rods.

Well that's not what I want to hear. I haven't even put it into the water yet. I loved my spinning rod but had an eyelet snap off. I will let you know though.

Hucho Hucho, glass is the only way to go! I now own 5 glass rods from a 3 weight to 6 weight plus a glass spey rod. They are sooooo much fun.

Just placed an order in at Feather Emporium, a Whiting half cape of dry fly hackle in black and a bugger pack in black as well. Also some new head cement, tiny strike indicators and some small beadheads.

I got 12,4 ft 6wt glass spey rod. After that if i like it, i will get 3wt or 4wt switch glass rod. and after that probably 2 wt single hand
