suffix braid that  i got from wallmart
spiderwire mono  that i got from thrifting
 

got the spiderwire for 2$ and i got the suffix for 10$ at a wallmart sale

I picked up a 9" 4wt echo on clearance at cabelas for 120$ some Simms freestone waders and some beadheads, a few Cooper johns and a couple parachute Adams. Trout time is almost here fellas. ;)

Got the Revolution last nite, and today got the new stick. Brand spankin new RV9! Gonna give er a go in the mornin, provided we're not snowed in!

Sounds like a sweet combo. I played with a revolution this past fall and it felt very well made.

Thanx, the revolution def is a nice piece of equipment. Not to knock any other reels, I just wanted a reel that's a bit different than what you see every day. The combo balances out nicely as well. Now just need to hook a victim for the real test!

Got me a whole new setup!

Fenwick HMG 7' 2 pc med fast action

Daiwa Lexa 2500 spinning reel

Some PVC to make a rod tube

and about $100 worth of crank baits, spinners, swim baits, grubs, 6 lb flouro line, leaders, weights ect

still need to replace my crappy old tackle boxes though

Do you find the spawn sac floaters make a huge difference with snags and more hook ups?

I feel dumb now because I was just at the shop the other day looking at them, and now I'm about to get started tieing sacs

I feel dumb now because I was just at the shop the other day looking at them, and now I'm about to get started tieing sacs

 

Sac floaters are used for bottom fishing with a sinker.  Don't use those floaters if you plan on float fishing with a bobber.

Not today but at Gagnons yard sale I did my part. Waders, floats, hooks, line, swivels, roe, worms, plastic worms and a gift card for my sons BD. Another $400 for the passion.
