Having the SizeX figured out, the question now is, nylon or fluoro?

Nylon for nymphing?

Fluoro for dry?

The opposite, flouro is denser then water so it sinks (also is generally a smaller diameter so it cuts water better)

mono/nylon will float, I use mono for streamers also just to get a touch of stretch on a tightline grab

I didn't know it was that complicated.

Yesterday I went fly fishing for carp and managed to go 1 for 6.  Then I went practicing my casting and caught a small pike on a white streamer.

I gotta check what tippet I'm currently using.

you just have to feel it out. post spawn steels don't give a hoot what X your line is, when their hungry. If you can get that fly on the zone. May - June I use mono for tippet. take note that mono diamater is much larger.

Fluoro for dry?

I use fluoro for both. specially for resis.

I always use fluoro for nymphs, for its sinking properties and Nylon for dries. Never tried mono might have to give it a go.

mono can be made from many materials but nylon is the most common (mono = monofilament)

Fluoro for dry?

Generally its the other way around . Fluorocarbon sinks and can sink small dries

I will be moving on from plastic grubs to testing these frog and rapala lures soon.  I never caught a fish on rapala yet, but will soon try to.  I had some hits on the side but i'm inexperienced with these kinds of lures, but I will be practiceing hard at the lakes.  Those bottles of fish attractant are very useful i find.  And for the walleye bottle, when i ice fish, I will pour a bit down the ice hole.

Got this stuff from Le Baron, they are supposed to glow in the dark. But then I preferred glow sticks.

This was my selection for the Port Perry Catch Fish Fight Cancer Tournament.  I ended up catching a Rock Bass on the Gulp Minnow, No Bass, they were hard to find that year.  The lake and weeds were all different, all my favourite spots were all weeded in good. (Canadian Tire, and Dollarama.)

More stuff from Le Baron. I never tried the crappie attractant on plastic yet, because I've been using my Walleye Attractant instead, but I will use it soon and let you know if it works.  I don't know how they test the different species attractants... Sometimes I wonder if Crappie, Walleye and Bass Attractant are all the same... and it's a scam lol....

These Gamakatsu Jigheads are very good!!!! Only Bass city in Markham carries them, to my current knowledge.

Bass City has the cheapest live bait you can find, for both live worms and minnows.  And a wide selection of fishing equipment and lures at very affordable prices.  With some unique items like fishing cages/live wells, etc.  There's always new unique fishing gear and gadgets to be found at Bass City. I love to buy my jig heads from Bass City. They have the Gamakatsu hook, whether it be Gamakatsu brand, or the Phenix Tournament type with the modified Gamakatsu hooks. The best night fishing gear can be found at Bass City.
