Got an fenwick HMX 10'6"  out of kijiji. $50. Not something I'd normally spend on used gear but after a closer look...i'd say 8/10 in condition.

Nothing against Fenwick, but the Convergences are on sale at Sail, I picked up a 10' Medium action for $69! Not too bad considering it comes with a 1 year warranty. Now if only I can hook a darn Salmon from the pier with it!

I love Fenwick rods, I made the mistake of going Shimano this spring. 10 casts in hook a Lilly pad and the rod exploded.

Been waiting 6 weeks for the replacement.

I don't know what it is about my convergence, but I've gotten butkus on it. Feels nice casting, but after about 6 months I have no idea how it stands up to a fish...

I've caught all kinds of Salmon and steelhead on a convergance and now my youngest is. I find its not as responsive in the tip as my Raven IM8 but it takes a beaten and gets fish to the bank.
