I saved up my fishhound points and got these waders for my dad.

Not bad for $40+$13 shipping

 

Anyone own these?  How do they compare to simms?

i spent a good chunk of money last year, got involved in fly and pinning 2 weeks apart, so i spent quite a bit to satisfy my needs for the 2different fishing styles, fly rod and reel, float rod and reel, flies, tippet, tapered leader line, swivels, weights, hooks, waders, bait, ooohhh god, i dont even want to know the actual money i spent, but it makes me really happy after catching fish, so to my opinion that is priceless,

yeah listen to him. don't do the math.i did my mini math of sept to dec spending. counting around 50 fish, mix of salmon and trout. it was around 800 dollars lol, workout how much each fish cost me. and the fact i ripped 2 waders and broke a 60 dollar rod lol.

This year I really decided to go make myself a better, well rounded fisherman. I got the fishing fever lol! For the bday too I think I'm getting fly fishing gear. It's an expensive passion but at 18 years old at least I'm not blowing all my money on booze, etc. rather putting it to something useful lol!

Bought two ardent inshore pros back in the summer , just picked up a bunch of UV protective wear buff gloves sleaves etc. and a plane ticket to florida for a little flats tourney. Pumped

I just spent $150 on lead alone. At $4 for an 8oz bank or egg sinker, you don't get a lot out of your money...and they are meant to sit of bottom and potentially snag...

That was one of the things I bought I replaced a few reels I didn't like and some of the new Simms pack systems a new travel vise a bunch of stuff I will post pics as the stuff starts to come in it was good meetin you last night

It's a fly rod made by redington it's a Fiberglas rod kinda a resurgence in glass fly rods for dry fly fishing
