One thing I have noticed in this forum(even though now is the time for the salmon runs and what not), that there is a lot of salmon anglers and not a lot of bass talk. Might be a stupid post but I just see a lot of guys here who are knowledgeable with their river fishing and just wanted to point out if anyone is looking for them bass post up your comments/questions! I am not a steelie guy or wader type of fisherman aha. So all in all I am just trying to toss it out there to anyone who has questions about bass post post post! The best time of year for bass is almost done.

alwayscatching:  Maybe you can start a thread about fishing for Bass in the Fall?

Someone mentioned in this forum that bass fishing gets more fun because they are actively feeding at this time?

Yea the do become active and feed heavy. They will be getting nice and fat soon. When we pulled out our fish on rice they seemed to be thin and not have much feeding yet. They will turn on really soon. I have a feeling this week will be good.

Bass fishing will always be my favorite. Now's the time when they go nuts for food.

Smallmouth bass are the most fun because of their athletic ability as well as their strength in the big tails. Very smart fish as well.

Would be great to see a section for Bass Fishing where the steelhead and salmon one is located...

I love catching smallmouth bass, the tanks 16 plus inches are an amazing fight especially on single barbless!

Amen brother keep the love going for the bass! I know a lot of people go to the kawartha anglers website but I love OFF and the interface here is amazing, just seems to be focus'd on the steelie/fly area.

Its not that popular here cause the bass fishing isnt as good as down south and we have these wonderfull fish like steelhead browntrout and salmon that all fight 10 times as well as a bass, plus they are gorgeous along with the places you fish for them. Sure bass are still fun, but not a quarter the thrill of spending hours on the pier and then finally hooking up to a 30 lb chinny. It is alot more rewarding than cranking in a plastic fish at 10 mph
