Would be great to see a section for Bass Fishing where the steelhead and salmon one is located...

I love catching smallmouth bass, the tanks 16 plus inches are an amazing fight especially on single barbless!

YESSSS

I would moderate it if thats what happened and people would not mind.

I've gotten good advice from Always and he's always on this forum to help.

Just use general discussion for bass. We dont need a section for everything.

Yea I do! To me though I just see it as a new member coming in, if I was looking for some bass help, I would have to use general forum not specifics like the fly/steelie/icefishing section kind of thing. I think being a public forum we should try to cater to the traffic of people right?

u have my vote for a bass section, And I have also noticed this vibe around here seems to be a lot of trout and salmon fisherman maybe its because tis the season.

As far as bass not fighting that is strait bull they may not be 30 lb and be able to take lots of line but if u use appropriate tackle they fight like a mofo and they are also known for there acrobatics true we don`t get the huge ones like ``down south`` cuz there growing season is cut short by winter but some of the best fights I have had have been bass and for me it is a species near and dear to my heart...

Spoken like a champ! I tend to not listen when someone says a bass fight is decent. I mean largemouth bass I get, they can be a dull fight at times. Smallmouth on the other hand get the blood going! Long line senkos on a drift about 50 yards of line and you will also get some nice fish!

I think you or some one should submit to the moderators to create a sub forum like the salmon for bass, pike,etc...I also see this forum very fly based. But I believe a lot of the posters would appreciate a topic for bass.

I wouldn't mind looking over a bass forum at all. Maybe if theres enough attention to it, it will happen.

Thats bull crap. Show me a bass that peels off 150 yards of line in 15 seconds and I'll be happy. But till then... Well you get my point

I just had another thought we could call the section "the classics" and include bass, walleye, pike and muskie instead of having different sections for all of them.

That was what I was thinking earlier I said they should have a sub forum for bass,pike,etc.....

Just not sure the fly guys will want this on this site, as everyone can see this forum seems to be more for them, which I don't mind, because I personally would like to learn how to fly fish ( looks like a good retirement hobby ) LOL . just kidding looks to be a great challenge

But it would be nice to see some areas for other fishing species.

I Know but we cant have a subforum for everything, this is like putting in a subforum for your favourite type of cheese. Not quite
