what time you fish? did you get any weeds? find the weeds, use rattlers, spinners, tubes brand new, cranks, top water lures, spend more fishing hours, fish stays down when water temp is high as it cools down fish move up. Lots of birds feeding on the water? when there's birds there's fish, they eat small fish and when there's small fish there's big fish always ... prey & predator .... do not rely on internet .... trials and errors is the best, hard to forget that. GL!

Good advice Lure. Im guilty of this

Worms & Gulp Minnows w/lucky strike spinners casting/trolling or Worms w/slip bobber set up when still fishing if I'm walking or portaging by canoe into a difficult to access lake.

Live bait. Worms or minnows. People keep telling me whiteish grubs which I will try if my minnows and worms ever fail. I have been carrying around whiteish grubs for 3 years and haven't had a chance to try them out yet  .

Wacky rig a senko. Never fails. The fish will be pushing up shallow now. I have started marking them in 4 feet of water as opposed to the usual summer 8-12 ft.

I can back it up, was on georgian bay this weekend and caught 3 smallies over 19" with lots of smaller ones mixed in, all on a 7" green wacky rigged senko in 4'-8'.

I have never caught Bass with minnows, are there any methods of using them?

I've been trying with Texas rig and drop shot lately, I'll try the wacky rig next time, thanks!

I just basically hook them thru the back, put a few splitshots on the line and then top it off with a float. Very simple.

I just started using an Ultra Tungsten punch weight that has a skirt on it, and I use a powerbait worm 7 inches OR the zoom Bush Hog with the punch weight. Amazing action and so far its been pulling out some nice largies.
