we should have a comparison, pinners vs fly guys to settle this little dispute ( for fun )    

 

I dont wanna start a flame war here, cuz as soon as it becomes one im deleting this thread, i just want to know your guys thoughts on this and the hot debate over these 2 techniques

I'll never understand why time is wasted on these types of debates/arguments. At the end of the day, we share the same goal and the same passions. That's good enough for me.

well beacuse its tiring reading about some guys post about his great day fly fishing and a pinner comes off and starts bad mouthing and vice versa, this is strictly for fun and i just wanna see what people think about it

well some people are strict fly and strict pin, they claim to be better than the latter, id just be a fun way to see if ones actually superior

exactly im just curious here as i fish every methood ( not that well but its a start )

instead of posting this thread, go to the river with ur pin and ur fly rod and see what puts more fish on the bank .....

If roe, worms, minnows and any other live/organic bait is not allowed - a professional fly guy vs. a professional float fisherman would be a good battle.  However, from what I've seen, the float fisherman would win the competition more often.  There are a few advantages the float fisherman has over the fly guy...

It really depends on the angler who's using it, not the type of rod and reel itself. But if there was some sort of competition, my money would be on the float guys
