[Diana Danger]

Picked this gadget up at Sail this past summer.  The green bobber can be cast out and retreived (to read the water depths, temp, structures below the surface and of course, fish) or as a float for real time fish finding.

 

I have a rod that i use specifically for this device so that I dont have to tie it up each time I want to check out the waters below.

 

for about $100 it was a great buy!

looks great, and seems really portable as well. Not sure how long the battery is going to last. 

Lot of people would love something like this, but i would never get a fish finder. beats the fun out of finding the fish myself.

I am going to be in the USA soon, I may look for something like this. For people like myself who are new to lake fishing it would give me a great baseline to work of off.

Tie that sucker up real good before you cast it - I can picture a bass or pike crushing that off the surface.  Neat gadget by the way.  How often do you need to replace/recharge the batteries?  Or is this the unit you need to replace the entire finder itself once the batteries run out?

I have already had a bass try to take that thing from me.  Sail sells that piece on its own so guess it's a common thing to lose.  One time my knot broke on the cast.....good thing i was in a boat, i was able to save it!

 

The only battery is in the display unit that mounts on your rod. It looks like a watch battery to me.  I had to change it once because I forgot to turn it off but the kit comes with a spare.  

 

I already broke the green bobber, left it in my car on a smoldering hot day which is a no-no.  $26 later at sail and its better than new.

You mean like the fish tv? Actually a pretty neat little gadget for ice fishing.

Used this in pickering yesterday to see if there were any fish swimming around (I wasnt catching) and dammmmnnnnn as soon as it hit the water the fish alarm when cray-cray *beep*...*beep*.....*beep*.....*beep*.....*beep*.....*beep*

 

Now all I need to know is WHAT KIND OF FISH WERE THEY and WHY DIDNT THEY EAT MY BAIT. lol

plenty of fish there. i'm pretty sure it was detecting minnows, pumpkinseed, gobys and catfish too.
