When you retrieve a spoon at the right speed to make it "ride up" on one side, and immediately "roll over" onto the other side, is the spoon suppose to be travelling in a straight line, or sinking little by little? I have a spoon that as I retrieve it, it wobbles the way it should, but it sinks during the retrieve. How do I make make it travel in a more straight line?

If the spoon doesn't have an O-ring on the front then add one or use a swivel and it should travel straighter unless it got bent somehow.

It has an O ring in the front. I clip a snap onto that. I dont have a swivel, as I heard it absorbs some of the action of the lure.

Maybe the spoon is defective in some way
