Need some input on a rod purchase.

Yeah, if you want a custom in the spring, the CTS is the way to go and JC is the guy to do it for you.

Hi am new to float fishing! I just picked up a rod and reel at natural sports on the weekend!! My rod i pick up was a Tangent custome float rod and my reel is a Kingpin Zeppelin ! This is my first float rod and reel! Don't really know how to use it yet!!! I hope I got the right gear for float fishing! Let me know guys! Thank!!!

sounds like your on the right path .. What length of rod do you have ?? If I wasn't already going with my brother and some friends who are just learning to pin and will have my hands fill coaching them I would offer to take you out Sunday but maybe next weekend if your up to it

It's a 13'6" casting has been my problem so far! I've been watching YouTube also lol but still hard!

I have a custom tied CTS, but make sure of the warranty. I know someone going thru it now

Agreed. 

Got my first 13'6 (4-8) in 2009. Absolutely love it. Got a 13'6 (6-10) in early 2010 and love it for bigger flows or fish. Just recently got a 15 foot 4-8 and has been my goto this fall. Great rods for the $ IMO. As far as warranty, I was told lifetime but haven't had any issues so far!

what casting are you trying to use ?? Wallis or side cast ?

sorry haven't played with that cast much side cast is easier to execute and control once you know how to remedy the line twist

There are many members here that will be willing to assist with your learning curve. Where are you located? I'm in the west end and would have no problems helping out. You already have an offer from a member out east side as well.
