Hey Guys,

I've followed this forum for a couple years now. My resident river is in Huron. I was wondering if there are many anglers on the forum that fish the Huron Tribs, or is the majority of this forums users from the GTA? I don't see much conversation about Huron Tribs. That's why I ask the question

Thanks

Can't argue that Red Neck. I don't blame ya. Whoever has been doing rain dances all fall can piss off. Need these rivers clearing up.

I'm pretty much all Huron and GB (I consider gb it's own demon). I find the rivers more tranquil and the driving much less stressful. Although i do like to play with the lake O giants on occasion.

Yup all this rain sucks big time.... :(

First all the salmon blew right through now the bows are doing the same thing...

Atleast the rain we've been getting has been slow and steady not making the river complete chocolate milk, still fishable...kinda

I hear ya. I was at 2 Tribs yesterday. One chocolate milk, other fast and dark. Hope mid next week it'll be better. Pathetic when you are losing sleep thinking about it. That's the way she goes. Need to get the pin wet.

Not sure this is the case. The major push of salmon was very early this year. A lot of guys missed out in a few tribs because they were almost done around the time that most assume they should be starting. As for the steelhead, from what I've recorded (I keep very detailed records of every day on the water) the water has stayed warm for much longer this fall, and is much warmer than it usually is. It's not that the fish are pushing through; they're not running in any significant numbers yet. Remember that fall steelheaded have the luxury of running whenever they want. Not having to worry about spawning until March, they really aren't in a hurry. This is just my general observation on Huron Tribs this year, it does vary by river. Personally I welcome the rain, the water needs to cool and this weeks cold, wet weather will do just that. Besides, I love fishing dirty water.

Sorry for the highjack. I fish Huron Tribs almost exclusively. If not Huron, then Superior.

I suppose most of the Huron tribs are not going to be ideal with all this precipitation?   I was planning a trip out tomorrow AM out Goderich way.  Levels seem to be quite high as well.  :(
