Hello fishing people. I'm a spincasting, barbless, catch-and-release guy stranded in Toronto. No boat, no car, no time... I don't get to fish very often and don't really have any friends who fish, either, so my knowledge is pretty limited.

Signed up to see if I can learn enough to find a place for late-year fishing near the city, and get some familiarity with something other than cast and retrieve.

hello and welcome. a member named Jan on the site is same situation as you, maybe you should send him a message.

Welcome...you're from downtown? You have a lot of water to cover my friend. Sometimes I drive to downtown for Pike & Bass.

Welcome to the boards. tons of information to be had for sure.

Does anyone know if there is still land access to the harbour near OP?

There is. The Marina side and parking lot. Lake access and channel access near the OP maintenance yard. Not sure about the west island though.

Welcome!

Theres a lot more location then you think and youre pretty much right in the middle of it all..
if you ever get a chance to head out west to sauga or further ill be glad to lend a few haunts
FOR A PRICE... jus kidding haha

Don't get me wrong, I have done some fishing around the city and on the lake, but I'd rather get away from here for some fresher air and cleaner water.

I have seen some pretty serious fish both just roaming and being caught. Biggest pike I've ever seen was swimming by the Amphitheatre.

Welcome! But please don't name spots, I'm sure a lot of us know the harbour fairly well. But there are still a lot of people who wouldn't think of putting a line in.
