Been fishing from shore and I've been currently using sufix 832 braided line for it's been freezing up, I have not tired it yet but I also have sufix mono line, Will it freeze up also ? ,I was going to try the sufix braided ice line but I can't find any at the loco stores now but could in the summer would think it would be the other way around, Any suggestions to what I should do ? ,I do like braided line but I don't like how it freezes up.

all braided lines freezes up. unless you want to coat 30 meters of line with vaseline. mono does not freeze, but it is going to bring the water to your guides and freezes your guides. also use vaseline on your guides. most people use mono for winter.

U can use fireline crystal it is a fused line. But I would still put stanley's ice off paste in it. Typically the night before. I would rec sufix promix the best line I have used for winter fishing.

Try mink oil. Get it from marks work wear house is where i get it its made for shining leather . Works fairly decent. Even water repellant for running shoes spray a little on the line every couple drifts. If you wanna get really special order the oil made for mending the line in fly fishing an drift fishing a lot of companies out west carry it you can get it ordered in for about 20 bucks. If all else fails i usually say screw it and fish on a warmer day haha. Its no fun diddling with your line every drift
