the ice is still very sketchy there, need the snow gone, so the lakes could freeze better.

for pike stay close to shore, find the shallow areas, there should be lots of weed beds, fish plastics or live minnows in the weed beds and hold on! its a fairly pressured lake but you should do alright for pike, also a great largemouth lake in the summer, that lake is FULL of weeds in the summer!

not sure then name of the lake...i wasnt driving and i dont know the areas well..im in the army and posted here from BC.

 

caught some Crappy ( not very big )...it was good to get out but if it was later in the season i would have called it a bust.

well at least you got into some, crappies are a real pain in the a$$ if you don't have the right bait and don't jig ever so gently, fun to catch nonetheless!

darn tasty fish as well. I kept a few to have a taste & darn! Right up there in the good eatn. Only 5 days of deer season left so until 1-Jan im in my stand. I'm going for lakers 3-jan with some friends who rented a hut. Again, not sure where but I'm lookn forward to it. Id like to find a gd Walleye spot for ice!

well i got skunked today, no-one was catching fish, checked all the frozen parts of the bay, circled the bay a few times, not a single person with fish at any spot, i lost what was a sure 10+ pounder at the hole on one spot with lots of current, another guy lost, one, that was it, darn temperatures, changing too fast, we need steady temps.!!!
