decided to hit a northern lake today, got there late around 9:30, it was really cold, (-25, feels like -35) decided to tough it out without the hit, bad idea couldn't jig, hands were trembling, lost 2 fish outside, then set up the hut. As soon as i set it up, no marks on the screen, no nothing, i just sat there looking at the graph, then at the flasher, chumming like crazy then all of a sudden a red mark show up on the flasher, jig 10 feet up, hit hit, whitie on!!! fought and hit the batboy like a laker, then i see a nice whitie, grabbed the hooker thing got him out, finally a fish after 3 hours of freezing my a$$ off!!! then after about 30 minutes a few more marks, the batboy wasn't cutting it, so i switched to a small micro jig with a rubber worm and a small minnow, after 30 minutes of playing cat and mouse on the flasher, i finally entice the beauty to strike, after circling around the hole 20 times, he finally came up, but i couldn't get a hold of him and down he went, needless to say i was pi$$ed!!! We decided to start packing up at 4:30, i put a bad boy on, for the last drop of the day, red mark on the flasher, graph is showing fish on bottom, lift, lift, hit, lift, hit, hook set,,,,,, Whitie On!!! fought him for about 5 minutes, not joke on my 4 lb test, hit it while i was jigging it hard, just like laker, went 2 for 5 but heck ill take it!!! some pictures:IMG_20131230_164527_zps8e8cbafd.jpg[/URL[URL=http://s879.photobucket.com/user/rainbow256/media/IMG_20131230_150309_zps62dc26bc.jpg.html]IMG_20131230_150309_zps62dc26bc.jpg

bothers whities? simcoe whities aren't hard to catch, you just have to be in the right spot with the right lure. Northern whities like this one is just as difficult as simcoe whities at times even more difficult, these were caught in less then 10 metres depth using micro jigs and 2-4 lb line.
