Too hard on yourself amigo, that peacock will shimmer, that wing reminds me a bit of a snowfly

If you're too easy on yourself you don't know what to improve on next time, I've yet to tie any fly perfectly ;)

The only guy who was perfect got hung on a cross, who wants to aspire to that? But yes I agree with you, every time I tie there is some thing I don't quite get right or would like to change on the next one, the real question is do the fish care if it's perfect?

That's the thing, I don't tie these flies to fish, I tie them to keep myself sharp. I am much happier with myself tying a nice fly then catching a nice fish. Believe me, I have boxes of ugly flies, but I just don't enjoy tying them.

All these ties look great - must take some time to produce flies like these... mine are junk compared to these LOL

I randomly ordered some church window feathers off ebay not knowing what to do with them, but found one recipe and attempted it. A bit more challenging, to me anyway, than it looks tying these feathers. Didn't use the right feather at the front so the red is showing but ah well. It was still fun :)

Yeah it definitely has a month look to it. This particular feather gives it that impressions as well because of the colour.

I'm gonna give it another shot.. hopefully clean it up a bit :)
