about a half bag of rams wool in those puppies Mister K...I'm thinking of butchering some dollar store teddy bears and sticking a hook in them

I always put a couple wraps over the material you want secure then I put one or two wraps in front just to lock it down. I do this with mostly everything and find that I rarely have anything slip or come undone. Hope this helps. I'm sure you could probably find something on youtube there's countless videos and different methods of doing it just gotta find which one you like best.
Some use glue, some epoxy, some tie knots. Epoxy will outlast the material if its a hot fly.

Nice. i usually tie the eyes on the underside of the shank
no doubt, better way to do it. I was tieing them this way cause my shitty old vice (which I just upgraded) didnt allow me to easily turn the fly over so i just said eff it and tied the eyes on the top.
Since getting the new vice Ive been doing it the proper way, I reckon it swims fine either way tho. I would just attach the stinger hook on the opposite way so it ride hook point up
Im not a perfectionist in my fly tying( like some here). Colors, presentation, vague resemblence of a food item = Good enough for the girls I go out with.
I did up a bunch of olive boo's recently, hearing thats a good color for spring steel in low&clear conditions

naw , might be too long for a perfectionist but i prefer mine just like that. i find they fish a bit better in faster water with that style.
nice tie

Thanks Shmogley and Madoc. I gotta remember the fish might not care as much as people do about those things.
Frequent, that's a sweet tie. What are you using for the legs?

Thanks, using Grizzly soft hackle for the legs, copper wire, yellow dubbing, skinny skin for the back and goose biots for the tail

Here's a little crawfish I tied up. I forgot the legs... Other than that I'm happy with it.
Looks awesome! Not a fly guy, but I have a couple crayfish flies I might try on my ul spinning setup this summer for river bass, surprisingly they cast well on it.
