Hope everyone had a successful opener. I went to a local GB trib upstream and only saw one fish all morning. I was mostly nymphing pocket water but took my spinning rod to float some runs. Question: do you use an egg loop knot for attaching roe for more success? I have generally always hooked the roe bags directly on the hook. Just wondering.

The egg loop knot is generally only used when you are fishing chucks of skein.

In high, chocolate milk conditions, use that knot with a golf ball size piece of skeen.
