You can feed them ripped up pieces of paper towel. And I sometimes do. I try too keep most of my worm containers. especially the ones with the foam lid.

Definitely, I just keep them in the foam worm containers I buy.
^^^ Nice tip about the paper towel never knew that

you can feed them a tiny bit of milk or cucumber, (tiny bit), paper towel is good for moisture, i usually put one near the bottom, i put all of them in a big fully styrofoam bucket with a lot of soil, then just put a dozen or so in a smaller styrofoam container when i wanna get out.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm gonna start collecting tonight.
I think I'm gonna collect all the worm containers that fisherman leave on shore.

Yeah they will eat the towel. The food you buy them is essentially paper.

It helps to use a red light, I guess they have a harder time seeing red, whatever it is they don't seem to mind when you shine it on them. Some lights have a red setting, I just stretch a red plastic bag over my light.

The flash-lite thing of course.
Another way I have used in the past is mixing dry or powdered mustard with water. Pour the mixture down their tunnels and they with pop up almost right away, this will work even in the noon day sun.
