I have caught Carp on Mepps Black Furrey on 3 ocassions, one over 25 lbs, all in the spring while mining for Chrome
They can put Steelhead gear to the test.
All were hooked in the mouth. I did get one on the same lure that was hooked on top of the head a few years back too.
Mepps is my lucky spring-time Carp lure LOL.
