Hello.

My name is dave I am 30 and I have been fishing all my life, however, never in the Gta. To be honest i do not even know where to start.

Most lf my experience has been on superior and other small lakes from parry sound northward. Lots of herring, rainbow, walleye and largemouth. While I have lots of experience i am no expert and would appreciate even the most basic tips. I do not have much equipment but have a modest budget to begin building up tackle. I have a few rods ect.

I do not have a boat but i do have a car. If you could give me some tips for an easy afternoon outing just to get my feet wet that would be great. I am certainly a noob when it comes to equipment so if you could be specific as to where to go and what to bring that would be great.

I am excited to be joining your community!

Hey man, welcome to the forum!

I can tell you that there are many many places to fish in the Gta, from ponds, to storm drains, rivers, streams, and bays, but all you have to do is a little digging to find what works for you. :P

What species are you looking for?

WELCOME!!!!, yea im not from the GTA but yea you need to look around. go to your local tackle shop. i find going to the smaller shops know the most about the area. im from st-thomas here and theres not much here other than channel cats(which i love!!) and maybe some perch. but yea look around.

ask tackle shops.... alllll of them.

look at google maps. and look for light blue spots and then inquire about them

try lake ontario, i wouldnt eat the fish from there........

and any questions regarding lures, tackle, rods, reels, buying combos from walmart or candiantire ask away. i did, and i get answers right way!!

welcome hope you enjoy the forum

keep your lines tight

cheers

dusty

Hello.

I actually made it out with my daughter last night to one of the tribs in oakville. Not much action but it was nice to get out. I am living in eastern mississauga carp addiction.

Anyways if anyone has some float fishing tips or can recommend their top 5 floating lures for bas that would be great.

Thanks in advance
