Bigger the better. So def go with the 9'6"
I use a 12' carp rod.
Basically any medium/heavy type rod of any length will land a carp, but for myself personally, 90% of consistent carp catching is in all in the cast. -not your rigs, line, bait or any of that.
If you are just blindly casting into nothing with no technique, you will catch LESS carp i promise
There is ALOT involved in casting for carp. And it usually starts with how big your rod is. lol
I know you mentioned floro leaders earlier in this thread. What lb leads do you normally run?
I would like to use my 15' float rod for carp but I won't run leaders over 12lbs on it.
