Hey Guys,

Heres some footage I put together of opening pike day... Unfortunately I recently dropped my GoPro in the water without the float back on, and wasnt able to recover it... Not happy at all!!

Hope you guys like the video, please share it with others. The more views, the more excuses I have to go and buy a new one!! LOL

Thanks again,

Sweet vid :)

Have you tried diving down to try and recover your cam?

How deep was the water?

Sorry for your loss :(

Thanks for the kind words.

Pump - I highly considered it but where it dropped it's about 8-10 feet or more. It's an extremely soft muddy bottom with weeds mixed in and a current. I tried for a log time with a long handled net and all I got was covered in mud. I figured if I blindly dove down there feeling around it would end up with me freezing my ass off and still no camera. Had the water been a bit clearer , and a hard bottom. Would have been down in a heart beat!

You just inspired me to go pickup a new go pro.   I got the hero 2 when it first came out, went on a trip to costa rica , got drunk, strapped the camera to my head and was messing around at the beach, decided to go running into the water, big wave crashed into me and took the go pro, GONE!  heart broken.  Got home from my trip and bought the original go pro, worst quality piece of crap off some guy on kijiji.  Used it a few times but quality sucks.

Im gunna go grab a hero3+ on credit tonight,  back to video making!!!  was doing a video blog but its so difficult to film by yourself, with go pro its much easier.!!

I can get 20%off retail price.

But there are bundles like the one futureshop has that's way cheaper then what I can offer.

I thought stores still sold them at retail price.

That's the only thing that sucks about the cam is the poor battery life.

Bought one last night!  got an extra battery and charger as well..  looks like i might need to grab one or two more, lol.  stupid batteries, they never last in any device. Ive always carried multiple batteries for my phhones over the years.  Hopefully one day soon they will come out with batteries that are more efficient.

Looking forward to shooting some vid.  also thinking about pulling my sevlor fish hunter out of storage, made a wooden floor just like the one in OPs video.  havent used the dingy in years,  would be cool to go carp hunting in it on the grand
