Ive been fishing a tatula type r on my flippin stick, cant say I like it that much... lots of brake slip when in heavy cover, also not a fan of the braking system...

IRFJ I dont like the type r, the 100 H is perfect. The type R is good for casting with finesse style baits. Try the 100H if you can. What rod are you using?

Also, I am a fan of Shimano Reels but not so much their rods. I currently use a mix of Revos/Daiwa tatulas/and a couple of the new curados.

I have a few rage rods and do really like their grips.  The slop and frog feels comfy but i have a 6'8" legend tournament I use for spinning baits and im not sure if it is the reel I have on it or what but it just feels awkward to cast.  I have had a couple shimano rods and they were ok, but nothing like the st croixs that I have.  I have currados and chronarchs that I use and the combo of the rod and reel, never feel like the fish is in control.

By the way, congrats on the sponsorship

This is the second of two largies I had on during the opener. The first was probably 1.5lbs bigger and probably another 4 inches longer, but my snap opened up on me when it got close to the boat. This one weighed in at 3lbs 10oz, about 17" long. The picture doesn't really do it justice, as i'm 6'2" and 180lbs, but I could easily fit my fist in it's mouth. Pissed I lost the first one.

Having great results with a livetarget top water frog. Purchased a few different colours from basspro. These two pics are both bass I've caught with the frogs. Have tons more pics from last week. The frogs are great and nearly impossible to get caught on weeds or trees so makes it great to throw right into the weedy areas.
