Well as many of you know bass has opened in zone 17. Luckily for me I ended 10 days straight on friday, these picture reflect my weekend, lets see how everyone else did!

I refused to let the hype get to me, I fished trout on saturday matching the hatch for some big brownies

Now time for bass, gearing up with my richard wheatleys, scouted some farm ponds that we know to hold huge largies.

Left the farm ponds in search of some big cisco fed smallies.

I was also fishing the Bass Opener in zone 17 on sunday. It was a hot day. The finder was picking them up at around 10-13 ft but they wernt hitting anything. Managed to grab a nice largie about 3 pounds in a shallow weed bed but that about it.

I burnt the hell out of my shoulderss... All of our largies were caught in less then 5 feet of water, mostly on sweet beavers... The smallies came in that 10-13ft range you mentioned..
