So I recently picked up some parts and bits to make my own spinners. So I thought would post up a pic of the first few I did, they are French blade size 0, weight comes in at 3/32nds.

Let me know what you all think.

Cheers

Thanks, I was surprised how easy it was to make them. A few simple tools ( pliers, cutters ).

Bow_Man try a size 5 like the mepps but use a mustad hook with a feather on the back. Pike and Smallmouth killer!

Bow Man, looking good!

They look ready for a good day on the stream.  Let us know how the trials go.

I tossed a few in the pool and they worked wonderful, very similar feel to a Mepps ( which I was try to go for ). Next time I think I will try some other "body styles" but I am very happy for now.

I bought enough materials to make 25 spinners all in silver, gold/brass and copper.

Thanks again everyone .

I made 25 and it cost $32.00, that was for all the bits and pieces and shipped to my door. Company was luremaking.com. All parts where top notch and of very good quality.

Considering a mepps is easily $5+, $0.75 for those 25 isn't bad at all!

They look solid too. Now post some fish pics from fishing them!

Here is a spinner fly that I made. I think I will make a few more of these, once I place another order of parts, thought I would try one first to see how it turned out.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I am really happy how both the spinners and fly spinner turned out. Will defiantly make more of both.

Bow Man, that hackled spinner is looking good.  If I didn't know you made it, be asking you what make it was so I could go out and buy a couple.  :)
