I'm gonna go to a west pier tomorrow night or sat night. I like this weather plus the lake temp.

I hate the transition period from fishing one species to the other.

I'm not done fishing for bass and carp.

Last fall, some days after coming home from being skunked chasing steelhead in early october, I would stop off at the local river and catch some carp.  dont need to transistion really.  can mix it up a bit no problem.

Once I started fishing the rivers for salmon and bows, I didn't look back.

My game plan for this year...
Once the river is blown, I'm gonna target the other species. It's a great way to change species once the river turns chocolate milk.

Not a big fan river fishing for salmon, plus i still got a lot of roe from last year to get me by for this year. I will wait for the bows...unless i feel the itch from some brown, i'm all for pike until then.

went out east today before the rain....BOY WAS IT DEAD

not a single sign of fish, just tons of mosquitoes lol. We've been lacking in some serious rain lately, so i'll give it another 2 weeks.

Can't believe there's nothing east, the water's under 60 there. Well I still might try west tonight, but I don't have high hopes anymore.

It is what it is . no one else caught anything all night. Schooling fish commonly feed actively in the shallows during low light periods regardless of the time of year it is simply a matter of enticing them.if the Loogans plan on using those trebles won't be very productive.

There's the odd salmon around, but certainly no numbers. Not this past weekend anyway. The only way to find out is to go out and check every week!

Yessss! Long wait is over! But sleepless night for a busy person who have only weekends opportunity. This is the time to use vacation days and sick days if you are eligible, and if you are crazy enough with the fall fight with the big swimmers not with the headhunters! Just feel sad to see a lot of headhunters last year in my playground, they beheaded the swimmers and threw their heads in the river so so bad.
