With my wife out of town for most of the weekend for work I only had Sunday to hit the water. Nothing too far or strenuous, where to go? There's always Hope. Hope alaska is around 88 miles from Anchorage and is an awesome small historic town with unbelievable views and home to the humpy (pink) salmon. Strong runs of pinks make this place worth a stop for non stop action and to take kids fishing. Spent the beautiful Sunday with the family walking around town and catching pinks until our arms hurt. Always exciting seeing the pinks turn to strike the fly.

Nice hat AK.

Your boys are probably gonna be better at fishing by age ten than alot of adults...

Haha, you can't see it in the picture but I am standing right behind him.  The fish ripped drag back into the current and my boy starts yelling "I need your help dad, help me!"  Haha He did great with some instruction and support.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried that rod would fly out of his hands.  I kept saying "Just hold on to the rod and let him run, hold on tight!"  Haha
