Been out on the notty nearly everyday fora couple of weeks. Using rapala j11 and various #5 spoons. ZERO success... Just moved here in April and I was so excited for the famous notty run. Have I missed it? Am I early? Seems to be lots of people on the river so I assumed I was in time. I used to fish the Miramichi in New Brunswick so Atlantic are my norm but these Ontario fish are being mean... Any tips of words would be appreciated.
Thanks
U havent missed them yet buddy. they are not in the rivers yet. after a heavy rain they will be all over ontario in every creeks and rivers leading to the Great Lakes

strange bud. i was up there for most of the long weekend and i got a couple. nice chrome ones too. even harvested a 10lber cuz it looked so clean. (tasted great too) little cleos ftw
nothing special involved just cast let it sink a bit and medium/slow retrieve. let the current do most of the work. might have just been a bad timing thing on your part but keep at it bud!
but yes it is a little early for the huge runs its known for. only a couple of fish here and there comming in then scooting back out. havent seen any past the mcd's if you know what i mean

I live on the Notty. There are very few fish being caught. There were 6-8 guys fishing in my area on Sat AM. One had struck a fish earlier but seemingly none had been caught.
