I would love to wear this to go fishing, but I don't think the bosses would like that. It would be a great deterrent, but I like to fly under the radar.

Still a dick though...he was claiming that's not how it happened when he was videotaped saying it was a sh*t fish. If no one called him out and this never went viral...he'd be killing more of this "sh*t fish"

He's sorry he got caught.
You are right about that.

This guy should never be allowed to fish again... for ANY species. I do not believe he is sorry, and I believe he has done this in the past as he clearly stated in the video. I'm glad it was caught on video and went viral.
I once talked to another angler at this exact location that claimed to do the same thing with every musky he caught. Although I didn't see him do anything because I only briefly spoke with him at the boat launch.

I think he definitely learned a lesson, even if it's only that he might be caught on tape being a dingbat, and he won't do something like this again. With this video going viral and the uproar it caused in the fishing community, lets hope it becomes a deterrent to others who would do the same thing.

exactly, everyone has a cell phone with a video camera these days, and more and more people are filming themselves with a go pro on the water, you don't know whos doing what, why take the risk of being caught on video doing something illegal

Well not really, that stuff is meant for strong current fishing and muskie but it's definitely the reason it sells!

Glad they were actually able to get this guy. Unfortunately catching them doesn't happen enough, hopefully this will deter other 'fisherman' from doing this in the future.

yup... right on with that. Charge him and lay it on heavy. No excuse for what he did. Fishing is a privilege.
